26 October 2023 | nicolas In 2006 we registered the patent for the BARENA process to naturally regenerate casks & barrels. Shortly afterwards, our BARENA process was awarded the Innovation Trophy. Unique to France, this Oenovation® Trophy encourages innovation by entrepreneurs who invent and undertake to disrupt existing technologies. The selection is made on the basis of four criteria: economic potential, innovation potential, the quality of the project team, and the product’s contribution to the wine and spirits industry. Few years later, in 2008 at VINITECH, our barrels regeneration process won first prize in the international innovation trophy category. More than just a reward, this trophy, reserved for equipment, process or technical suppliers, is a true recognition of the profession.
